I believe in the constitution and our amendments. Written in 1787, ratified in 1788, and in operation since 1789, the United States Constitution is the world’s longest surviving written charter of government. Its first three words – “We The People” – affirm that the government of the United States exists to serve its citizens. Liberals tend to either ignore these words, take them out of context, or flat out oppose them. They also believe that amendments, such as the first only apply to them. The second amendment is being attacked, and I have no doubt that the fourth amendment could be violated in this administration.
I'm sure that the other amendments could come under fire from this administration. I believe it's under our constitution and the founders ideas that made this country great.

I am a Christian American before I name my political status. I see liberals posting here all the time who would follow their political leader, no matter how bad or dangerous his/her policies are, just because they are in power. It doesn't matter if these policies could potentially destroy our great nation into a 2nd to 3rd rate failing country, they'd continue supporting them. If I agree that a politicians stance could better our country, I'd support them. Many liberals do not seem to comprehend this. This is what I see with Obama and his followers. Obama could accomplish the exactly what Bush did, and he'd be praised while Bush would be ridiculed for the exact same stance.

I believe in our military and a strong national defense. Our military, along with our veterans, are our country's greatest asset. We are stationed all over the world, and I believe they are taken for granted by our very own citizens. Many liberals I've heard comment on this are applauding our cutting back on military spending, all the while disarming our national defense systems. The liberal mindset believes this will create a more peaceful, loveable country by those we have (in their words) "terrorized," but in fact has opened our borders for an easy attack on American soil. The American military, to many around the world, is a beacon of hope to those who suffer under persecution from their government, such as those under the former Saddam regime. They give a taste of freedom that we here in America enjoy every day.

I believe in capitalism and the spirit of American Entrepenurialship. Right now both of these concepts are being attacked and destroyed. Many liberals who support Obama also defend his "spread the wealth." Not only are your beliefs destroying the great American market, they are destroying incentive. I believe in hard work and personal success, which in turn benefits others as well as the overall well-being of this nation. If Obama's true beliefs were to come true, the government would dictate how much we make, and those who make a certain amount are taxed to oblivion because of the former market concept that made them a a successful business in the first place. Also, who would want to work hard when there is no means of a bonus or receiving a promotion showing you are an asset to your company. What made America so amazing are those great minds who started out small, growing into a major corporation and living the American dream. Liberals who voted for Obama believe in entitlement, and that those successful businessmen or women should have their wealth given to those who do not contribute at all to our society, except in beer and satellite TV. Through this I believe our standard of living will go down, laziness will grow, and our country's economy will be surpassed. I believe in hard work and your own definition of success too much to want this to happen.

I'm nice! While there are angry people on both sides, liberals are seen to argue much more with raw emotion than actual facts and seem to never take one others opinions as truth. I can discern one's political affiliation through general demeanor and conversation. It seems very simple to find out if a person is a liberal. Now, when a political or religious discussion ensues, they usually resort to yelling, screaming, name calling, and sometimes the use of revisionist history they believe to be completely true is thrown into the mix. I admit, we conservatives can be worked up, but we also try to remain calm and not resort to their level. A quick look in a factual history book, followed with the ability to maintain your composure after they result to ad-hominem or personal attacks, seems to result into another discontented liberal shown reality. Usually after they're done insulting you and know that they can't win the argument, they change the subject, slamming you, your beliefs, and usually Bush. I just couldn't live that way. I believe I'm man enough to admit when I'm wrong.

I believe in the war on terror, and am not afraid to say that many of the terrorists are Muslim. The "man-caused disaster" ideal is beyond me. Terrorists flat out hate us. They hate everything America stands for and they ALWAYS will. There is no Psychologist in this world that could turn these guys, since most are indoctrinated to hate us since childhood. Many of these guys choose willingly to fight us "infidels," and would die for their beliefs. Now yes, a majority of these guys are Muslim, and you know their "rewards" received in the afterlife, but today's liberals have decided to misconstrue Christianity, Islam, and the war on terror. Many liberals seem to downplay Christianity, while attacking fiercely those who oppose the theology and the worshipers of Islam, yet they forget that Christians are persecuted all over the world by Islamic radicals. In turn these terrorists get a free pass to attack American soil. I'm not saying every follower of Islam is like these guys, but the fact is if you asked the followers of Hamas or Al Queda why they are fighting, I'm sure you'd know the answer. Liberals seem to believe that it's our foreign policies that have caused these "man-caused disasters" to attack US citizens, and many others blame it on Bush. What amazes me is that we were hated LONG before Bush, and will always be hated. The attacks on US citizens and our military members will never cease, no matter what political affiliation you are, and liberals forget this, or flat out ignore it. Their appeasement strategies will never work. And yes liberals, they are terrorists. What kind of people strap bombs to a kid to cleanse the world of infidels on a crowded bus?

We tolerate other's opinions. What I mean by this statement, is that many of the liberal posters on this site are usually tolerated, while if one of us posts on the huffingtonpost, it'd most likely get erased. Whether or not we like their opinions, it's good to see the other side. Liberals only think their side is right at all times, and it's downright sick.

I don't play the race card. Liberals, with no arguments left, play the race card in many areas of life, yet don't realize that they are the racists themselves. They tend to look at skin color as a potential vote, a way to win an argument, or a scapegoat for a political loss. That is how Obama got elected. They ignored his past, his ideals, his many lies, and focused on his skin color. In their view, any who disagrees with him, is racist. But they also think that they can be racist towards those of color on the conservative side. Remember what Janeane Garofalo said about minorities attending the Tea parties? If we were to say what she said about the tea parties, for example, about an anti-Bush rally, they'd call for our heads on a platter and forget their hatred of water-boarding in mere seconds. Liberals tend to forget one's character when it comes to race, disregarding ideals as long as they can win a political victory through the race card.
9.
I believe in Legal immigration. Liberals tend to fight for illegals for potential votes, while disregarding the potential consequences that occur as a result of their close-mindedness. Legal Immigrants are a wonderful addition to this country. To obtain citizenship, you must learn about this country through motivation and determination. Many of these immigrants come here to live the American dream, adding to the economy and a rich flavor of cultural diversity to this very unique nation, while others are fleeing from their leaders or even a war. They know the greatness that is the US, and our freedom is an envy to many other nations. Unfortunately, you have those who are illegal pouring in. Liberals try to call these people honest, because they want to help their family, or are also fleeing a corrupt government, but how could you call someone illegal "honest?" If they were honest, they'd make an attempt at citizenship. Now, many of these people are trying to help their family back in their original country of origin, but in what way does this help our country? They take jobs that American citizens try to obtain because of cheap labor that is not taxed. They demand equal rights as legal citizens and many fail to learn our language. Many more put a drain on taxpayers, through jails, the drug war, hospital bills, crime rates, many in vehicular accidents, and those who live by the border find many living outside their house, especially on ranches, and are left to pick up the trash they leave. As liberals use these people for potential votes, we see them abusing the legal system and taking their money back to their country, adding nothing to our economy. This seems very unfair to those who obeyed the law and came here legally.

Too much double-standard is shown from liberals. For example, they complained in the enlarging of the government under Bush, yet openly support all of Obama's policies. That is a flat out double standard. Example 2. We all were pouring angry outcries against Bush and congress when the $700 Billion dollar bailout was formed, yet they support the porkulus bill that seems to increase every day, thinking that the previous bailout was a failure because their political leader was not in power. We conservatives openly opposed every bailout presented, mostly because we knew they'd fail, despite political affiliation. Example 3. The democrats who voted for Iraq aren't hounded at every turn by the media; only the republicans are blamed. Example 4. Voting for a president who has openly criticized our military, people, and constitution, and yet liberals say we do that. Or how about protecting the "rights" of the gitmo prisoners, yet oppose a ban on abortion or euthanasia? They oppose water-boarding, but have no problem making a doctor whos beliefs would forbid him/her from killing a human being to perform a partial-birth abortion.
Now, I know not all liberals are as listed above, but many of the liberals who debate, argue, or attack on this site very well prove the points written. I'm sure many more reasons could be listed, but I thought this was 10 good reasons why I'd rather be a conservative than a liberal. If you'd like, add to the list why you aren't a liberal either. I'm sure there'd be an interesting mix of answers!
